1.About these terms

MedRostrum is run by MedRostrum Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17502545). Registered office: Unit C Piccadilly Business Centre, Aldow Enterprise Park, Blackett Street, Manchester M12 6AE. Contact: admin@medrostrum.com.

By using MedRostrum you agree to these terms.

2.Education, not clinical advice

MedRostrum provides education and discussion about artificial intelligence in medicine.

  • Nothing on MedRostrum is medical, clinical, legal or regulatory advice. It does not replace your own professional judgement, your organisation's policies or advice from a qualified adviser.
  • You remain responsible for your clinical decisions and for following the guidance of your regulator and employer.
  • Clinical cases in our materials are fictional and for illustration only.

3.Independence

MedRostrum is independent and does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, any Royal College or regulatory body. Mentioning a product, organisation, study or framework is not an endorsement. Where our founder or team members hold other roles, those roles are their own and not MedRostrum's.

4.AI-assisted content

Some MedRostrum content is created with AI assistance and reviewed by the MedRostrum team before publication. We work to keep content accurate and sourced, but it may contain errors or become out of date. Check important information against the original sources we cite.

5.The free course, library and self-check

  • The course AI Governance for Doctors, the AI Governance Library and the AI readiness self-check are free to use and need no account.
  • The course is not accredited CPD, and completing it is not a qualification or a certification.
  • The self-check is a starting point for reflection. It is not a score, a test or a certification.
  • Links to third-party frameworks and publications are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content.

6.Membership

  • Membership is free and by application. Every application is reviewed by the MedRostrum team, and we may accept or decline an application at our discretion.
  • You must give accurate information, including any professional registration details, and tell us if they change.
  • Membership is personal to you. Do not share your sign-in.
  • We may suspend or end a membership if a member breaks these terms, gives false information or acts in a way that could harm other members or MedRostrum. Where reasonable, we will explain why. You may end your membership at any time by emailing us.
  • If we ever introduce anything paid, we will update these terms first, including prices, cancellation rights and refunds.

7.Acceptable use

When you use MedRostrum, including the member area and anything you send us, you must not:

  • share any information that could identify a patient, or any confidential clinical information
  • post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or misleading
  • advertise or promote products or services without our agreement
  • impersonate anyone or misstate your professional status
  • try to gain unauthorised access to MedRostrum, interfere with its security, or copy it at scale
  • use MedRostrum to send unsolicited messages to other members

8.Content you send us

If you send us content, such as an expression of interest, a comment or a suggestion, you confirm that you have the right to share it. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to run MedRostrum. We will not publish your name or identifiable content without your permission.

9.Our content and brand

  • The MedRostrum name, logos, text, course materials, graphics and design belong to MedRostrum Ltd or our licensors.
  • You may view, print and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial educational use, with credit to MedRostrum.
  • You may not copy, adapt or redistribute our content for commercial use, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement, without our written permission.
  • The fonts we use, Fraunces and Inter, are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.

10.Emails

We email you only as described in our privacy notice. We send one newsletter a week, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Emails about your application or membership are not marketing and continue while you are a member.

11.Availability and changes

We provide MedRostrum free of charge and as it is. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including the course or library, at any time. We will try to tell members in advance of significant changes.

12.Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
  • Because MedRostrum is free and educational, we are not responsible for any loss that arises from relying on our content in place of professional advice or judgement, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • If you use MedRostrum for professional or business purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell members by email. If you keep using MedRostrum after a change, the updated terms apply.

15.Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
